Waiting times for an appointment
Expected waiting time for an appointment with Eastern police district is until 9 weeks.
You must always have an appointment before you meet with the police.

Processing time for applications
The processing time is the time it takes for the police to process the application after you have met with the police and submitted all your application documents.
The waiting times may change while applications are being processed.

If UDI takes over the case processing
Your case can be forwarded to the Directorate of Immigration (UDI), in which case UDIs waiting times apply. If your application is forwarded to UDI, you will receive information about it by e-mail.

Applications for Norwegian citizenship are processed by UDI.
