See where to go to submit application documents or register to get a registration certificate. You must always have an appointment before you show up at the police.
If you are
- EU or EEA national who wants to work in Norway
- skilled employee applying for a residence permit to work in Norway
- family member and employer of the groups above
Then you should meet at the Service Center for Foreign Workers (SUA) to have your case processed. If you do not have an appointment with SUA, you can book an appointment in the UDI's application portal.
If you are applying for
- temporary residence permit (study, au pair)
- family immigration
- permanent residence permit
- renewal of residence on the basis of protection (asylum)
- residence card
- alien's passport or travel document
- Norwegian citizenship
Then you should meet with your local police to deliver the application documents.
You must have an appointment with the police to meet. If you do not have an appointment with the police, you can book an appointment in the UDI's application portal.
If you have been granted asylum and need to renew your residence permit, you must contact your local police by phone or email to book an appointment.
