Refund of the application fee

Find information about refunding the application fee for applications registered electronically. This concerns applications for residence permits, travel documents, residence cards and notifications of Norwegian citizenship (submitted) to the police.

If the police have not started on the administrative processing of your case, you may be refunded the application fee that you paid for your application to be processed.
You have to contact the police station you chose in the application form and ask if you may have the application fee refunded.
If the application fee is refunded it means that you also withdraw the application in question.

Refund of the fee for notifications of Norwegian citizenship

UDI may refund the fee for notifications of Norwegian citizenship that have been submitted digitally before you have uploaded the necessary documentation.
