If you wish to withdraw your report or provide us with additional information about the criminal case, you should contact the police district where the incident occurred and provide the case number. This allows us to update or withdraw your report.
If you submitted a report online after June 18th 2025, you can find the case number by logging in to the Police Reporting System.
For older reports, you can find the case number in the confirmation letter that was sent to your digital mailbox or by post. The letter normally arrives three to ten days after the report was submitted.
It is important that you do not submit a new report about the same incident, as this may make it difficult to link the information to your existing case.
